NANS, FOSSU Maps out Strategy to end lingering JAC Strike in Oyo

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Committee (JCC) and the Federation of Oyo State Students Union has held a meeting with extended committee of students union government presidents (SUG) leaders across tertiary institutions in Oyo State to adress the case of lingering crisis between the Jojnt Action Committee (JAC) of Oyo state tertiary institutions.

At the meeting, the students leaders resolved to meet the commissioner for education and the state departments of finance to seek ways to resolve the crisis.

BEING THE COMMUNIQUE OF THE JOINT MEETING ON THE ONGOING (JAC STRIKE*) *HELD ON 2nd OF JULY 22′, BETWEEN THE NANS JCC OYO AXIS, FOSSU NATIONAL, AND ALL THE CONCERNED SUG PRESIDENTS WITHIIN THE STATE

The actual purpose of the meeting was for various leaderships of students body in our dear State to put all hands on deck and jointly rise to the occasion of the lingering strike from the Academic body in concerned (JAC).

After an extensive deliberations on various efforts invested through consultations by leaderships of students within the state, It was reached that the leaderships of NANS JCC and FOSSU NATIONAL meet with the Commissioner of Education, the department of the state finance and other related government officials to evoke measures to curtail the extension of the academic haultness.

While concluding, The Students’ Union Presidents that were present requested that a Press Release should be made by the joint of NANS JCC OYO AXIS and FOSSU NATIONAL to keep the student populace abreast of the action; as they await prompt feedbacks from both NANS and Fossu National of the meeting in view.
