Any Letter Of Appointment Of Jagun Balogun Not Signed By Olubadan Illegal – Palace

More details have emerged regarding the appointment of two prominent Ibadan indigenes, Chief Remi Ibrahim Babalola and Engineer Dotun Sanusi as Jagun Balogun of Ibadanland.

It would be recalled that the separate letters were signed and issued to the two prominent personalities in which only an individual can be promoted to the position of Jagun Balogun of Ibadanland. The two letters sighted by our medium had sparked heated argument and confusion among millions of Ibadanland citizens.

A palace source who spoke with our source on condition of anonymity said: “Any letter of appointment, promotion or elevation of any Mogaji or Chiefs not duly or personally signed by our father, the father of all, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Senator Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade 11 is invalid. That’s an insubordination of the highest order.

” The are disparities between the two letters being circulated by the duo of Engineer Dotun Sanusi and Chief Remi Ibrahim Babalola. The letter issued to Engineer Sanusi was signed by the Secretary of Olubadan Advisory Council, while that of Engineer Remi Ibrahim Babalola was personally signed by Olubadan of Ibadanland.

“Let me clarify the issue on the disparities without mincing words, Liasu is not Olubadan, he cannot sign any letter on behalf of Olubadan of Ibadanland. Liasu is a retired civil servant and lacks any official power to sign documents.

” Raimi Ahmed is the Secretary of the Olubadan Advisory Council while Akeem A. Rafiu is the Personal Assistant to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Lekan Balogun. Therefore, something must have gone wrong somewhere. This matter must be investigated.

“Let me also set the record straight, the letter of appointment issued to Mogaji Abiola Suraj Iyiola , Anlamole Compound, Isale Ijebu, Ibadan as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadan was signed by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lekan Balogun. That of Chief Remi Ibrahim Babalola was also signed by Olubadan. Make your judgement yourself.
