Makinde: Mature In Looks, Immature In Governance | Morufu Smith

Governor Makinde displays his crass insensitivity yesterday as the Governor of Oyo State, keeping carefree watch over an Ibadan city steeped in bad-mixture of mundane merriment and brazen brigandage.

The Governor hosted a lavish ‘fourth’ funeral inanities to ‘honour’ late Olubadan Saliu Adetunji Ogungunniso 1 at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium.

While the OAS funeral event was ongoing, Agugu-Oremeji axis of Ibadan resumed its baptism of brigandage by the hoodlums from the ‘authority-approved’ divides of ‘federal boys’ and ‘PMS boys’, leaving pools of blood and flood of bloody tears in its wake.

While a lavish funeral was being hosted by the Gov for the ripely old, departed Olubadan, burials of unsung youthful victims of Agugu-Oremeji bloody brigandage were being prepared 😭😭😭!

After the Stadium event, Gov Makinde drove himself among his convoys around town to test his famed popularity, using the opportunity to visit Molete, the home of the former Governor Olunloyo and presenting the old, senile, math-weighty octogenarian a brand new Lexus Jeep.

Yesterday, it’s already on record that Gov Makinde danced on the blood-red carpet of the injured, the slain victims and the destroyed properties at Agugu-Oremeji’s free-rein mayhems while unashamedly tipsy-dancing at the Stadium.

How do you describe a Governor reveling in frivolities of funerals and of his fabled popularity while a part of his capital city was boiling and bloody, bloodied?

We are still expecting official statements from Agodi regarding the unfortunate mayhems at Agugu-Oremeji provided Agodi has regained his clear brain from yesterday’s partying hangover.
