The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun state, Florence Okpe, said, “a total of 06 persons were involved in the crash, all male adults. 01 person was injured and 02 persons were recorded dead from the crash and others were unhurt.”

Okpe said the crash involved an Iveco tanker (SUL606XA), a Daf truck (EPE 680XJ) and another Iveco tanker (WSE168XA).

She blamed the crash on route violation and speed, disclosing that the injured victim had been taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention.

“The PTD has been contacted for the transloading of the PMS as well as the Ogun State fire and safety services.

“The trucks are blocking the Lagos-Ibadan route and traffic has been diverted to Ibadan-Lagos route.
